ego (lite)
The fastest browser for AI agents to run web automation. Free, open, zero config.
ego (lite) shares your logged-in browser state with AI agents like Claude Code,
Codex, or Cursor, so they can do anything you can already do in a browser —
without ever disturbing you. Install the ego-browser skill once and any
code-writing agent on your Mac can drive it: type /ego-browser, describe the
task, and it runs in its own Space. (This very site was researched and verified
through it.)
- Parallel by design — it runs many in-page actions in a few lines of JavaScript instead of one tool call at a time, so complex tasks finish up to 3.45× faster than a generic agent-browser, on fewer tokens, each task isolated in its own Space.
- A real Chromium engine, not a JS shim — its semantic snapshot reaches into cross-origin iframes, shadow DOM, and third-party widgets (Stripe, Salesforce, Intercom, React portals) that web-fetch shims silently miss, so agents stop burning tokens retrying against content that was never there.
- Same Chrome, agent-native — one-click import of your whole setup; used as your default browser, your agents never get stuck on captchas, 2FA, or SSO.
Free, zero config, topping our open real-world agent-browser bench — and it
collects no data. ego is the personal agent; ego (lite) is just the browser,
built at Citro Labs.
